Netex shortlisted in two categories at The Learning Awards 2027 for its OBRAMAT project

Netex Learning has been shortlisted in two categories at The Learning Awards 2027, the international awards organised by the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) to recognise outstanding initiatives in the learning and development sector.

The company is a finalist in the Learning Platform of the Year and Learning Technologies Award categories for its project with OBRAMAT, a specialist distributor of building and renovation materials. OBRAMAT has implemented Netex Cloud to manage learning and development for more than 7,500 employees across its 42 stores and central support functions.

The project is built around a learning model that enables OBRAMAT to automate training management and tailor learning pathways to each employee’s role. In the first half of 2026 alone, the platform managed more than 114,000 training enrolments, reflecting the scale of the project and the learning requirements of a growing organisation.

OBRAMAT: a learning model designed to support business growth

Expansion presents significant challenges for HR and learning teams in distribution companies. Every new employee needs training tailored to their responsibilities, while internal mobility and organisational changes require companies to keep their teams’ knowledge up to date.

For OBRAMAT, these needs led the company to develop a learning model capable of supporting business growth without a corresponding increase in the administrative workload involved in managing training.

To address this, the company implemented Netex Cloud as the technological foundation of its learning ecosystem, structured around learning pathways tailored to the different roles and professional specialisms across the organisation.

The result is a system that enables OBRAMAT to manage learning across a geographically dispersed workforce while maintaining visibility of employee development as the company’s organisational structure evolves.

Two nominations at the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI)’s international awards

The Learning Awards are the international awards organised by the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI), a UK-based professional body specialising in the development and assessment of professional standards within the corporate learning sector.

Each year, the awards recognise organisations and professionals whose learning initiatives and use of new technologies make an outstanding contribution to skills development.

For the 2027 edition, Netex is among the eight finalists in the Learning Platform of the Year category, which recognises learning platforms, and the eight shortlisted entries for the Learning Technologies Award, which celebrates the use of technology to enhance learning and development.

The two nominations mark another recognition for Netex at these international awards. In 2025, the company received the Silver Award in the Learning Provider of the Year category, which recognises providers of corporate learning solutions and services.

The winners of The Learning Awards 2027 will be announced on 11 February 2027 at the awards ceremony in London.
