The smartAuthor project receives 70,000 euros from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness

New boost for R&D&I.

The Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness recognizes the initiative smartAuthor, led by Netex in collaboration with Gradiant, with a grant close to 70,000 euros. smartAuthor will allow intelligent data analysis to be included within textbooks and general training content. This then allows you to have enough information to ensure the learning material is effective. With this information you can understand how students are using the material and facilitate the work of the teachers by supporting them to understand their students’ strengths and weaknesses.

An essential aid for the educational editing sector

The benefits of the technology behind smartAuthor will not only be reflected in classrooms, but will also help publishing companies to deepen and optimise their transition in to the world of digital editing. The analytical layer of the content will provide extensive information to help adapt the content to users’ needs.

Application within the company

The use of smartAuthor may also benefit corporate training. smartAuthor will support the rapid creation of content aimed at training and developing employees, especially when generating fast-consuming materials, such as technical manuals, sales training or promotional product campaigns.

The Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (MINECO), under the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016, awarded a grant to the project “SMART AUTHOR” led by NETEX with file number RTC-2016-5280-7.
